Crazy week

I had my crazy test on monday. 800 questions. I passed so thats good.

Had dietician number 2 lost 3 pounds.

getting no where fast

i had a minor ok a major breakdown today. Stupid Dr. Klein didn't document my weight in 2008 and 2007 so i can't have my surgery.

oh but wait. i finagled a deal with the insurance. i get to have it ...wait for it...THE LAST WEEK IN DECEMBER.

that means...you guessed it...liquid diet for christmas.

oh well. sometimes there are sacrifices.

Really???

someone actually tried to talk me out of surgery today. Don't they know that i'm the most stubborn person on the planet? LOL

monday is the crazy doctor! CRAZY DOCTOR!!! yay for psych evals.

Today's Journey

today i went to Catherine's for some new hose...and DIDN"T buy any clothes. that's right...and it was 80 percent off!

and i bought a new exercise equipment for my arms. this way i can exercise while just working or what ever.

ok. that's all for today.

Diet coke!

So I broke down and a sip of dc today.... And it was gross and syrupy.

Exercise

So we met with the dietician.
I have to eat 1800 calories and Robby 2000. No big. But we buy groceries then they go bad, so we set a goal to go to the store and buy groceries on the way home. We did just that. Fresh steamed brussells... YUM! Then a walk after supper. Oh and we ate at the table instead of the couch.


Still no dc! Yay me

First doctor's appointment!!!

after running around all over freaking carrollton and lewisville, we went to the first appointment with the dietician today. she said...get this...lower calorie intake. REALLY??

these people are killing me. when can i have my dang surgery!! LOL

and we ate at la madeline. yumtastic...and healthy!

Long Week

This week we've been calling everywhere to get our 5 year medical history of being fat. It's crazy how many doctors you can go to in a seemingly short period.

I am also completely off diet coke! day 7. It sounds like a 12 step program.

Pricing

This stupid iPhone has an app called red laser. Basically you scan products and it gives you nutritional info and prices online. Cool!!!

So we went through sams and scanned everything and vitamin shoppe. Next to go home an compare w our directions from the doctor.

We also at at pei Wei. Get pei Wei out of my system because... Well. No more pei Wei for me!

Lots of changes

Besides the obvious, there are lots of changes that we will have.

Vitamins and a liquid diet for 8 weeks!!! Eek.

We are going to SAMs today to price items.

I am excited to finally do something about my weight so I will not have health problems as I get older.  I still get to drink coffee at least, thank god I am not a diet coke addict.  

It's Official

Robby and I have decided to have Gastric Bypass Surgery together. ... at the same time.

When i do something, i go all in. i have to completely change my life, and that means that he has to as well. So we might as well do this together.

We are both so fortunate to have an employer who has the best benefit package in the world. It's really quite amazing. We only have to pay total out of pocket about 3000 for both of us to have the surgery. Mostly that's because we will not have met our deductibles in January.

January 2011 - That's when it's set for. A lot of prep before hand . Like figuring out which liquid i will drink (liquid diet for 2 months), buying multi vitamins.

Regardless. The purpose of this blog is to document our journey through word and through pictures.

I will tell you that i have always thought i was discriminated against for being fat, and i kind of have proof now. people are much nicer and talking about things they've never talked about ...because they know about the surgery. Interesting huh? More on that later.

If no one ever reads this blog, oh well. Its still a documentation for this process and anyone else who wants to go through it.
